Dr D.A. Williams (M)  MBBS DRCOG PGDipDE


Dr David Williams is the senior partner and joined the practice in 1984.  He qualified from the London Hospital in 1978.  In addition to his work at the practice, he cares for in-patients and is a Hospital Practitioner in the Rapid Assessment Unit at Braintree Community Hospital.  He has a special interest in diabetes and runs a diabetes clinic at the Community Hospital.  He is also a GP Tutor GP Appraiser.



Dr R.E.P. Mayo (M)   MD MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DCH DA


Dr Peter Mayo qualified from the Middlesex Hospital, London, in 1984.  After qualifying as a GP he gained further experience in paediatrics and anaesthetics.  He then worked at a rural hospital in South Africa for three years.


Dr Mayo joined the practice in 1994 and his Medical Doctorate (MD, London University) was accepted in 1999.  He was the  Chairperson of the Braintree Locality Practice Based Commissioning Group for 5 years up until 2010 and sat on the Steering Committee for the new Braintree Community Hospital.  Dr Mayo is currently a Hospital Practitioner at Braintree Community Hospital and is also a GP Appraiser.

Dr E.O. Jessa (M)  MBBS FWACS MRCOG MRCGP PGCE (Camb)


Dr Jessa has special interests in GP Training, Minor Operations, Clinical Governance, Sexual Health and Substance Misuse.

Dr Sara J. Thompson (F)  BSc MBChB DFFP MRCGP PGDipDerm


Dr Sara Thompson graduated from St Andrew's University in 1995 and Manchester University in 1998.  She has trained loacally in General Practice and has an interest in Dermatology.  She fits contraceptive coils for the Practice.



Dr Emma L. Hopgood (F)  MB ChB DRCOG MRCGP DFFP MSc


Dr Emma Hopgood graduated from Birmingham Medical School in 1997 and completed her GP training in Hereford.  She has an interest in medical student teaching and works part time at Addenbrookes Clinical School.

Dr Jas Gill (M) MB ChB MRCGP MRCS DLO MSc


Dr Gill qualified in 1996 from Liverpool Medical School.

He joined the practice in 2008 and has a background in General and ENT surgery and has interest in Minor Operations and GP Training.
