Medical Secretaries

The medical secretaries primarily deal with hospital referrals. If you have any queries regarding your hospital appointment, you may contact the secretaries in the first instance. Patients can now be provided with a copy of their referral letter by asking their GP during their consultation.
Choose and Book
Choose and book is a national electronic referral service which allows patients to choose the hospital they wish to attend as well as select a date and time that is more convenient. For more information, please click on the link below.
Booking a Hospital Appointment
If you are being referred via Choose and Book, your GP will tell you to contact the secretaries approximately 3 working days after your consultation. The secretaries can either book your appointment for you on the telephone or provide you with the necessary information, including a password, to book your own appointment online at the Choose and Book website.
Non-NHS Services
